New Delhi: Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde on Wednesday announced the “unconditional support” of the Shiv Sena for the Vice President, potentially established the line for other coalition partners and the BJP’s prospects were extended to constitutional position after the election on 9 September.On a visit to Delhi, Shinde announced after meeting Home Minister Amit Shah in his Parliament office. After the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar last month, an election is required for the VP post.Shinde also met PM Narendra Modi and congratulated him for the success of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. Twin interactions were seen as important. Sources said that the meeting saw its equations with BJP brass, with which it engineered the collapse of the MVA government led by Udhav Thackeray in 2022.Shinde said that ‘Mahayati’ – alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP – will simultaneously fight local body elections in Maharashtra.Along with him, the family along with his wife Lata, son Srikanth and daughter-in-law Vru-Shali gave the PM a picture of Lord Shiva. Shinde said that Modi praised his son, which had the opportunity to lead a multi-party delegation to express the message of zero tolerance for India’s terrorism.Shinde also rejected the suggestion that his frequent journey to Delhi was associated with ‘differences’ with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, saying that he was working together for development. Shinde also said that he and his party MPs congratulated Shah for becoming India’s longest serving Home Minister.
