New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, wrote to Union Heath Minister JP Nadda on Saturday, urging his immediate intervention in authorizing additional centers for NEET-PG aspirations in the coastal state.Tharoor said that medical examination students were unable to choose any city within Kerala as the available seats were “finished within minutes of reopening the website”.The National Board of National Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) already has data on the number of applicants in Kerala, said that it would be “inappropriate to ban the number of centers in the state and the candidates would be put through crisis, discomfort and financial burden. “Dear @jpnadda candidates of Kerala are visible for NEET-PG 2025 exam, are unable to choose any city within the state as their test city, as the available seats were finished within a few minutes of reopening the website. The update list confirms that the number of testing cities has been extended to 233 before the admission test scheduled for August 3, 2025. Candidates will now need to resume their favorite examination cities through the official portal from June 13, 2025 (3 pm) to 17 June 2025 (11:55 pm). The NBEMS has clarified that the allocation process of the city will work on the basis of first come and service based on the priority and availability of the candidate.
