Nepal team to train BCCI COE in July-August. Cricket news

Mumbai: After helping Afghanistan cricket through various initiatives, BCCI also wants to help Nepal cricket grow.TOI has learned that Nepal’s senior cricket team is set to travel to India for training in BCCI’s Center of Excellence (Coe) in Bengaluru from July 21 to August 3. “Nepal Cricket has selected 20 players as a preparation of the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifier (from 1–17 October) to undergo training at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore,” a source told TOI.Last year too, before the T20 World Cup in the United States and West Indies in June, Nepal’s senior national team trained in BCCI COE in Bengaluru and played some warm-up games before leaving for the US.“We are extremely grateful to the BCCI, J Shah (ICC President), and the Indian Embassy in Nepal to expand all possible help for Nepal cricket. Almost all our age group teams-men and women trained in India before leaving for big tournaments. Still, some of our national team cricketers are training in Bhopal, ”Nepal Cricket Association President Chatur Bahadur Chand told TOI from Kathmandu on Saturday.He said, “We will always return the BCCI in all our initiatives.”Last year, Bahadur met the then BCCI Secretary J Shah in the national capital on the occasion of the WPL meeting, with requests to help his country’s budding cricketers access to quality match exercises and infrastructure, which is difficult to arrange in the Himalayan nation.
