No negligence, Bhutanese-root girl Sophia Subedi’s drowning in Harsepark despite the presence of 10 lifeguards

A spokesperson to Harshipark said that 100 lifeguards were trained and certified through Ellis & Associates (E&A) in the Boardwalk at the time of the incident. He also said that at that time there were 10 lifeguards dedicated to Wave Pool at that time.After the death of Sabidi, the Dairy Township police launched an investigation, including a video footage review, statements of witnesses, employees and first respondents and documents of physical scenes.On Friday, the police said that they finalized their review of the incident and determined that Sabdi died of casual freshwater drowning. It did not include any criminal activity and the security standards were also maintained in the theme park. There was no congestion and the number of people in the wave pool was actually less than its designed maximum capacity. A spokesperson for the Dairy Township Police wrote, “It was also noted that the surrounding witnesses and the lifeguard immediately responded, began an attempt to rescue and revive the Sophia’s crisis within a few seconds of notice of Sophia’s crisis,” a Dairy Township Police spokesman wrote. “Dairy Township Police Department, witnesses, with the employees of Harshipark, and with the first respondents, who tried to save Sophia, express their honesty to the Bhutani community along with their family and friends during this difficult time.,The funeral of Subidi was held on 30 July in Harrisburg. A gofundme page was created to support the family. Sabidi was born in Columbus, Ohio, but recently lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She attended the North Side Elementary School at the Central Defin School District and was ready to start 4th grade during the upcoming school year.
