‘No Peacock Pronounced’: US Defense Secretary Hegseth declared the end of ‘Vokna’ as a trans trop ban; 1,000 should be removed immediately

The Pentagon on Thursday announced that it would openly remove transgender service members from the US Army after a recent decision of the Supreme Court to allow the Trump administration to implement the long -pending ban of the Trump administration. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued instructions within hours of the ruling, saying that about 1,000 transgender personnel have publicly identified, will now be out of service. Other people have 30 days to self-report before the department starts an investigation of medical records to identify additional cases. After the verdict, in a social media post, Hegseth wrote “No More Trans in Dods”, strengthening her earlier comments at a special operation conference in Florida, where she said the army was leaving “Vokens and weakness”. He also told the audience, “No more pronouns”, in the context of gender identity practices within forces. According to Pentagon data, 4,240 active duty, national guards, and reserved soldiers were diagnosed by Linga Discphphoria by December 2024. However, the authorities admitted that the actual numbers could be higher, given that not all individuals have come forward or have received a formal diagnosis. The new policy introduced in February, but stopped due to ongoing litigation. Now, with legal obstacles, the Defense Department is moving rapidly to implement the ban.
