‘Not worthy but …’: Kamal Haasan clarified the Tamil-Kanada comment after sparking the fresh language line.

New Delhi: After lighting a language line within the South Indian states, claiming that “Kannada is born out of Tamil,” the actor on Wednesday said politician Kamal Haasan said that politicians are not eligible to talk about language and should be left for linguists.In an explanation, Haasan said, “I think what I said was said with love and with many historians who taught me language, history and I did not mean anything.”He said, “Politicians are not eligible to talk about the language. They do not have enough education to talk about it. It involves me. So let’s leave all these in deep discussion for historians, archaeologists and language experts. We are a family and therefore languages,” he said.The actor also quoted the linguists to present the “third angle” in the language debate and said, “If you look at it from the northern point of view. Poor Kamal Haasan, he is unaware of it.”KVijayendra also criticized Kamal Haasan by Vijayendra, the president of the Arnatak BJP, who tried to glorify his mother tongue and described Kannada as “derogatory”.Taking X, Vijayendra demanded “unconditional forgiveness for Kannadigas” and said, “Artists should have a culture to respect every language. It is the height of ego that actor Kamal Haasan, who has worked in many Indian languages including Kannada, has insulted Kannada.”“Kannada is a major language in many parts of the world including India for centuries,” he said.Hassan on Tuesday triggered a controversy after expressing his deep connection with Tamil, promoting his upcoming film ‘Thug Life’ in Bengaluru.Haasan said, “Ure Urave Tameese (my life and my family is Tamil),” Hassan said.Turning to Shivarjkumar, who was sharing the stage with him, he remarked, “Actor Shivarjkumar My family lives in another kingdom. Your language was born from Tamil. Therefore, you are included in that line.”Hassan had to leave the venue before the members of Karnataka.Praveen Shetty, president of Karnataka Rakshaan Vedic (Praveen Shetty Group), issued a strict warning, saying, “Today we are giving him a strong warning. You want to do business in Karnataka and show your films.”
