NYPD COP suspended to sleep on duty: Naked boat thief survives hospital; layer

A NYPD officer was suspended without salary after allegedly slept, guarding a suspect who escaped from a hospital in New York earlier this week. The 36 -year -old Stephen Blassete, the man was watching at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He was arrested earlier and was accused with Grand Larcy after stealing two boats, completely naked from a Marina on Manhattan’s Dikeman Street. According to police, Blassette managed to leave the hospital at 6.30 am on Wednesday after converting a white lab coat and a blue hospital trousers, but no shoes. He has not met since then. NYPD confirmed that the officer assigned to monitor him had been suspended as the department reviews the incident, the New York Post reported. Blassette made headlines after allegedly snatched away and jumped into a small celebrity on Saturday afternoon. When NYPD Harbor Petrol officials tried to stop him, he allegedly floated in a large catamran in the river. He was arrested there and rushed to the hospital for mental health check -up. Police believe that it may be under the influence of Mathemfetamine during the incident. He is still on run.
