New Delhi: A terrorist was killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter started from Friday evening.Army Chiner Corps said in a post on X, "... a terrorist has been neutralized by security forces so far. The operation continues."According to officials, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF on Friday started a cordon and search operation in Akhhal forest area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. A police officer told the news agency PTI that the action was based on the specific intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.The operation turned into an encounter after hiding terrorists set fire to security forces.
