He said, “The terrorists had erased the vermilion of our sisters, and India replied by destroying its terrorist headquarters,” he said.Sindoor, or vermilion is a symbol of marriage in Hindu customs. The word Sanskrit is derived from Sindura, which mentions red, orange-red or maroon cosmetic powder worn by married Hindu women in their hair bid.
