Jerusalem: Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that the attacks were authorized in November 2024, six months ago, and was initially prescribed to April 2025, but was postponed due to operating views. In a recorded speech in Hebrew, Netanyahu provided an update about the operation to the citizens. Blind Netanyahu said that he would try to make such statements daily. “It did not happen by chance or for trivial reasons – if Iran has nuclear weapons, we will not just be here,” he said. Netanyahu said that after the assassination of Hizbullah leader Hasan Nasrallah, Israel made an assessment that Iran would expedite its nuclear program, which he had done. Earlier on Friday morning, in a video message, he said that Iran has reached a level of uranium enrichment that it may soon develop some nine atomic bombs. He also warned the citizens not to be enthusiastic on the success of the operation and be calm and cautious. He said that there would be vengeance and a “one price” to pay.No return: Army ChiefIsrael’s Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ile Zameer said the aggressive was launched “because the time had come; we had reached the point without a return”. “We can’t wait for another time to work, we have no choice,” Zamir said. “History has taught us … to fight to preserve our existence”.
