Pakistan Jailbreak: More than 200 prisoners escaped during earthquake withdrawal in Karachi

A regular security measures turned into a major security violation in Karachi after the earthquake shock, as more than 100 prisoners fled from jail on Tuesday.Officials said the prisoners were extracted from their cells as a precaution after a series of mild earthquakes in the area, but Caios exploded when a group of prisoners attacked the guard, seized their weapons, and managed to escape.According to senior police officer Kashif Abbasi, 216 prisoners ran away from Malir Jail before dawn. He confirmed that 78 of them had already been caught.Police teams were conducting raids to find the rest. Abbasi said, “Nobody prosecuted as a terrorist or participated in those who ran away.”The migration fired a firing, killing a prisoner and injuring three security personnel. Abbasi said, “The situation has been brought under control.”How the jailbreak surfacedSindh’s Home Minister, Ziaul Hasan, told how the jailbreak came out. The prisoners were taken out of their cells due to shock. While they were still out, some prisoners attacked the guard and ran away from the premises after opening the fire.Jail Superintendent Arshad Shah said that the escape moved towards the nearby residential areas. The residents reported that the police later used the loudspeaker of the mosque, so that they could warn about the fleeing prisoners and request to help and report them.He said that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah made an appeal, urged to escape. “They were involved in minor crimes only till that point,” he said. “But if he is arrested by the police on charges of jailbreak, he can face terrorist charges.” Although, escaped from jail during court transfer in Pakistan, such large -scale brakeouts from within the prison walls are rare.According to the National Seastern Monitoring Center, Karachi has experienced several earthquakes in the last 24 hours, with a magnitude of 2.6 to 3.4.
