Pakistan X Account: Pakistan appealed for loan citing ‘heavy loss’, later it was said that X account has been hacked by World News

Pakistan found itself in a strange position after a social media post on Friday, which appeared to seek immediate financial assistance from international lenders, citing economic losses amidst tension with India.A post of Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Division said, “The government of Pakistan appeals to international partners for more loans after heavy losses by the enemy. Between war and accidents, we urge international partners to help D-Suscule. The nation urged to remain stable,” a post in Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Division said.

Following extensive attention, the Ministry of Economic Affairs quickly released a denial, claiming that their account was hacked. A spokesman for the ministry told Reuters of the news agency that they were working to neutralize the account, however, this post was visible even after explanation.A ministry spokesman told Reuters, “We are working to shut down Twitter (X),”Pakistan is currently one of the largest debtors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which outstands about 8.8 billion dollars. Rating agency Moody’s has already warned that any continuous military growth with India can reduce Pakistan’s economic stability, fiscal consolving efforts and the possibilities of development. The KSE -100 index of the Karachi Stock Exchange has dropped more than 6%points in late April, showing market fears on the growing struggle in late April.“Operation Sindor” was launched in vengeance for a terrorist attack in Pahgam on 22 April on 7 April, in which 26 civilians died. The army attacked nine terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Operation targeted the facilities related to Lashkar-e-Tiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.In response, Pakistan tried to retaliate with drone and missile attacks on Indian military facilities in northern and western India including Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot and Bhuj. These efforts were thwarted by India’s integrated air defense systems. Indian forces later destroyed several Pakistani air defense systems including Ek in Lahore and hit back.
