New Delhi: The Indian Army on Tuesday organized a Pakistani National near the Control Line (LOC) in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, confirmed by officials.
An army official said, “Pakistani National has been caught from LoC in Poonch sector.”
The incident has increased the increased vigilance between the security forces, especially in view of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, which claimed the lives of 28 people and caused a renewed tension between the two neighboring countries.
The Pahalgam terror attack was one of the most brutal attacks in memory recently, in which terrorists targeted and closed tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.
This attack in one of the most viewed places in South Kashmir comes a few months after the deadly attack of June 2024 in Rasi, where the pilgrims used to target the route of Vaishno Devi.
In response to the latest developments, security forces have intensified monitoring and patrolling in the area to prevent any further efforts on infiltration or disturbance.
