Patient raped by nursing staff in Rajasthan Hospital ICU

Alwar: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a nursing staff inside the Surgical Medical ICU of ESIC Medical College earlier this week, inspiring police action and hospital-level investigation. The accused, Subhash Githla (30), has been barred from entering the hospital. The administration has also issued notices to on-duty doctors and staff members, demanding their written responses. A committee has been formed to conduct an inquiry, and its findings are required by Saturday evening.According to the police, the woman was admitted to a tubectomy on 2 June. After his surgery on 4 June, he was shifted to the ICU. Her husband alleged in her complaint that at around 11 am that night, a guard asked her to wait outside. Between 1.30 am and 2.30 pm, the guard and a male employee said his wife was experiencing the injection side effects and was needed. When he helped him lie down again, he was asked to leave.On June 5, the woman gained consciousness and told her husband that a male employee had pulled the curtain and sexually assaulted her during the night. He immediately approached the police, where a cedar was recorded.The next day, the woman presented her doctor Dr. Informed Deepika, who faced the accused in front of the witnesses. The hospital said Ghitala confessed during that conversation. Sho Ajit Badsara confirmed that he had been booked for tampering and rape.
