PM at Ghana: Modi honored the highest state honor with ‘Adhikar of the Star’s Star’s Order’ with the highest state honor; BJP praised its 24 global awards. Bharat News

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (local time) was honored with the ‘officer of the order of Ghana’s star’ ‘and said that this honor is a responsibility, for working towards a strong India-Ghana friendship. In his acceptance speech, Modi said that the award was a matter of great pride and respect for him and dedicated it to the aspirations of the youth of both countries and the bright future, historical relations between Ghana and India and their rich cultural traditions and diversity.In a post on X, PM Modi said, “I thank Ghana for the people of Ghana and the government for the ‘officer of Ghana of Ghana’. This honor is dedicated to the bright future of our youth, their aspirations, our rich cultural diversity and historical relations between India and Ghana.”Ghana President John Mahama presented the award.He said, “This honor is also a responsibility; Bharat-Ghana working towards friendship. India will always stand with the people of Ghana and will continue to contribute as a reliable friend and development partner.” The award was presented during PM Modi’s visit to Ghana, which was earlier made by an Indian Prime Minister in more than 30 years. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya said that PM Modi has been honored with 24 global awards including Palestine and Russia countries.Malavia said in a post on X, “This prestigious recognition reflects India’s growing stature not only to the global leadership of PM Modi but also on the world stage under his visionary guidance.”The MEA said in a press release that the award was awarded to the Prime Minister in recognition of his “prestigious Statesmanship and Impressive Global Leaders”.Thanking the people of Ghana and the government for special gestures, the Prime Minister said that “shared democratic values and traditions of both countries will continue to nurture the partnership”.He said that the award “deepens friendship between the two countries and has a new responsibility on them to embrace and pursue bilateral relations.”
