PM Modi receives a call from Netanyahu after attacking Israel, India urges the restoration of peace

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that he received a call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who informed them on the security situation developed after the Israeli air strike on the Iranian targets.In a post on X, PM Modi said, “I got a phone call from Israel’s PM @Netanyahu. He informed me on the situation to develop. I shared India’s concerns and emphasized the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region.”

The international alarm grew after Israel started a widespread attack on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, leading to a dialogue between the international alarm, allegedly killed senior officials and scientists. Netanyahu’s office confirmed that he had spoken with several global leaders including India, Germany and France, and is expected to talk with US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Israel said that attacks were necessary from Iran in light of direct threats. Netanyahu’s office said, “The leaders showed understanding of Irani’s threat to Israel’s needs.”India said on Friday that it is “deeply concerned” over recent developments between Iran and Israel and “close monitoring”.New Delhi urged both countries to avoid any escalatry move.According to international media reports, Israel has attacked various places in Iran, targeting atomic and missile sites and top military officers.
