‘Polared’: JDU MP Sir Slam in Bihar; Protests continue outside Parliament. Bharat News

New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) MP Giridhi Yadav strongly criticized the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls being held in Bihar on Wednesday, called it a crowd and impractical step by the Election Commission. “This (sir) is forcefully imposed on us,” Yadav told Annie. “The Election Commission has no practical knowledge. It neither knows history nor geography of Bihar. It takes me 10 days to collect all the documents. My son lives in America. How will he sign in just one month?”Demanding more time for this process, Yadav said, “At least six months should have been given for this … I am giving my personal opinion. It doesn’t matter what the party is saying … It is true. If I cannot tell the truth, why have I become an MP?”Yadav’s comments come amid protests by the opposition, which has stopped the proceedings in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for three consecutive days, demanding discussion on Sir and Operation Sindoor. Congress, Samajwadi Party and other India block members protested outside Parliament on Wednesday, organized a placard and accused the government of using the head to suppress the rights of voters in Bihar.Congress MP Manikam Tagore presented a stay motion in the Lok Sabha, which was discussed what he called the “dangerous and unconstitutional” practice. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who joined the protest, posted on X that the voter list amendment “There was a conspiracy to snatch the right to vote given by the Constitution.” He alleged that a similar strategy in Maharashtra was used in elections.Speaker Om Birla opposed the MPs and warned that his conduct is like a “road -like behavior” and said that if the order is not restored, he would be forced to take “decisive action”. Despite its appeal, the house was postponed by noon as an uproar. The Election Commission had earlier said in its defense that Sir was necessary for an accurate electoral role before the Bihar assembly elections. It was revealed that more than 18 lakh voters were found dead, 26 lakh constituencies were transferred, and more than 7 lakhs were admitted to many places. A full month from 1 August to 1 September – citizens have been provided to record objections. In an affidavit in the Supreme Court, ECI claimed that all major political parties were involved in the process, in which more than 1.5 lakh booth-level agents were deployed. The pole body dismissed haste allegations, stating that the period from 25 June to 26 July will be published, and the final role will be published on 30 September.
