New Delhi: Former captain George Costa died at the age of 53 after cardiac arrest at the team’s training ground, on Tuesday, Porto announced a tribute to “an important person in the history of the club”.The club said in a statement, “The captain of the legendary FC Porto and the current director of professional football, died this Tuesday after the cardiopulmonary arrest.”Former Portuguese fell into the training ground of the International Defender Club on Tuesday morning.According to local media, he was rushed to the hospital, where he died soon after arriving.Costa spent most of its sports careers with the club, won eight league titles and Champions League in 2004 under Jose Morinho.
