New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday reiterated his allegation of “vote theft” and demanded a full electronic voter list from the Election Commission during a rally in Bengaluru.Speaking at the ‘Vote Adhikar rally’ in Bengaluru, Gandhi said, “I have sworn in within Parliament and the Constitution, and EC is asking me to take oath on vote theft.,His statement came after the Chief Electoral Officers (CEO) of at least three states, asked him to present the names of the elections, claiming that he was incorrectly included or excluded from the voter role. The EC also asked for a signed announcement so that “necessary action” could be initiated.
In a letter to Gandhi soon after leveling the allegations of vote fraud, Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said during a press conference in the national capital, “You mentioned about the involvement of unqualified voters and boycott of eligible voters in the electoral role.”“You are humbly requested to refund the declaration/oath attached under Rule 20 (3) (B) of Registration of Voters with the name of such electoral (s) (s) of such electoral (s) so that necessary action can be initiated.”At the Bengaluru rally, Gandhi also alleged that after the claims of the Congress party, the Election Commission websites of some states were taken down. He said, “EC has closed the websites of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and other states after our revelations,” he said.He demanded that the EC party should provide full access to the electronic voter list for the entire country along with video records. Gandhi said, “We demand EC that we should give electronic voter list of the entire country, details of videography.” “If we get an electronic voter list, we will prove that the Prime Minister of this country has become PM through theft.”He said, “We demand EC that we should give us a list of 10 years of electronic voters.”He further said, “And if this demand is not met, we will believe that votes have been stolen across the country.”Targeting Election Commission officials, Gandhi Furthar said, “Through this illegality, EC officials are attacking the Constitution and the poor of this nation.”He concluded his comment with a warning: “We will take time but we will catch you, we will catch each of you.”Rahul Gandhi on Thursday analyzed the data of a Lok Sabha constituency in the Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka from the 2024 general elections, alleging that the Election Commission is “stealing elections” with the BJP and called it a “crime” against the constitution.Talking to the media through an online presentation, Gandhi had said that he had analyzed voter data of the Lok Sabha constituency of Bangalore Central and Mahadevpura assembly segment in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.He said that in the entire Lok Sabha seat, the Congress got 6,26,208 votes, while the BJP got a difference of 6,58,915, 32,707.Gandhi said that while the Congress won six out of seven volumes, it lost in the Mahadevpura assembly section in which it was defeated by more than 1,14,000 votes.He claimed that in an assembly section, with 11,965 duplicate voters, a “vote thief” of 1,00,250 votes in the constituency, 40,009 voters with fake and invalid address, 10,452 wholesale voters or single address voters, 4,132 voters misabled 33,6922 voters.Alleging that it is being done across the country, he said that it is “the crime against the Indian Constitution and the Indian flag”.
