Quad meeting 2025: Jaiskar to attend talks in Washington from 30 June to 2 July; Major Indo-Pacific issues on the table | Bharat News

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will visit the United States from 30 June to 2 July at the invitation of US Secretary State Marco Rubio. During the journey, he will participate in the next edition of the Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting (QFMM) set for July 1 at Washington, DC.The Quad Foreign Minister will continue the discussion with his final meeting held at Washington DC on 21 January 2025. They will share ideas on important regional and global issues, especially related to Indo-Pacific. The minister will also review the progress made on various Quad projects before the Quad Leaders Summit, which will be hosted by India.The ministers are expected to discuss new proposals with the aim of carrying forward the shared vision of an independent and open Indo-Pacific.Jaishankar will visit New York on 30 June to inaugurate an exhibition called “The Human Cost of Terrorism” at the United Nations Headquarters. The exhibition will highlight the destructive toll of heinous terrorist acts worldwide, and steps taken by the international community to counter terrorism.
