‘Quiet Heroes’: The army operated the young boy, who served the soldiers during Operation Sindoor; Complete Education Assistance | Bharat News

New Delhi: The Indian Army on Sunday announced that it would fully sponsor 10 -year -old Shavan Singh’s education, who assisted soldiers with food and beverages during a gun in Tara Wali village in Punjab between Operation Sindoor.Shavan, which was previously identified as ‘Swarran’ Singh, brought water, tea, milk, ice and lassi for the troops in the fierce exchange of fire with the Pakistan Army. According to PTI, a Class 4 student of mamdot area in Ferozeppur district, he took initiative without asking, soldiers and his family without receiving widespread praise.In the recognition of its courage, the Golden Arrow Division of the Army has promised to give a full fund to its education. The announcement was made during a felicitation ceremony held at Ferrozepur Cantonment on Saturday, where Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, honored the boy.The army stated that Shavan’s actions reflect the spirit of “quiet heroes” across India – who cannot wear uniforms, but play an important role in supporting the armed forces and being worthy of national recognition.In May, Shavan expressed the aspiration to join the Indian Army one day. He said, “When I grow up, I want to become ‘military’. I want to serve the country,” he said, as PTI quoted. His father said, “We are proud of him. Even soldiers loved him.”Tara Wali village, located about 2 km from the international border, saw intense fire exchange during Operation Sindoor. The operation launched on 7 May included a pre-ending missile attacks by the army on nine terrorist goals in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These included the major base of terrorist organizations Jai-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Tabiba.Operation was performed on 22 April under the vengeance of the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people lost their lives. In response, Pakistan started attacks on Indian military bases and opened the border areas for the next three days.
