New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi revealed to refund his allegations of rigging Maharashtra elections “The Congress and its colleagues have won most of the seats to cut the branch he is cutting, where the number of voters increased, the BJP said on Friday.Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said at a press conference, “This false (Maharashtra) story has already been rejected by people thrice and it will fulfill the same fate in future as well.”Yadav said that the Congress is trying to weaken constitutional institutions to serve the interests of a single family to constitutional institutions.Citing the EC data, Yadav said that the number of voters on the election role for the Maharashtra assembly elections in November 2024 had increased by more than 40 lakhs as compared to the Lok Sabha elections held before that year, and not by one crore claimed by Rahul.Yadav said, “Congress worker extended the figure by 60 million,” Rahul claimed that Rahul prepared for a long time to make his case, but the original argument of his charge turned out to be “wrong”. He said that all his claims should be given up to 60% discount from now.Naming several assembly constituencies like Mada, Mohol, Nagpur West and Nagpur North, where the Congress and its allies won, Yadav said that the number of voters in these seats increased. He said, “Those who continue to question Maharashtra are very much – the Congress and its allies – who won most of the seats where the voter number increased. It defores Rahul’s principle alone,” he said.Yadav said, “This is in the case of cutting the branch on which he is biting that branch.
