The Vancouver car attack was not known as the ‘Act of Terrorism’, the accused ‘Asian man’ was known to the police

The Vancouver Police has confirmed that a car attack on a festive crowd celebrating Lapu Lapu Day was not a terrorist attack. The 30 -year -old accused, it is believed that a video that went viral on social media after the attack was considered an Asian man, “Police was known in some circumstances,” interim police chief Steve Rai said in midnight news that nine people were killed after killing more. The driver of the Black SUV slipped into the crowd after 8 pm near the East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, where Lapu Lap Dey Block Party was falling down after attracting 100,000 people during the day.
The Vancouver Police said on X, “We are confident that this incident was not a work of terrorism.”
Liberal leader Mark Carney posted on X that he was “destroyed” and offered his condolences to the “loved ones of the killed and injured people”. Carney was scheduled to spend a part of Sunday in British Columbia, but his campaign issued a statement on Sunday saying that his plans had been delayed.
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh closed a campaign on the festival and left a few minutes before the incident. “This is a festival with children there. There are families,” he said. Singh said, “I do not have words to describe the pain that I just feel that I was thinking about life.”
Conservative leader Pierre Pilevre said on X, “My views are with the Filipino community and all the victims have been targeted by this sensitive attack.”
The suspect was held by the mob until the police arrived and in a viral video she was seen sorry the angry mob. The suspect looked surprised and lost in the rejected video.
Lapu Lapu Day is an annual festival organized by the Filipino community of British Columbia. There is no objective for the attack while the authorities are investigating the mental state of the suspect.
