New Delhi: CM Siddaramaiah appointed the new commissioner of Bengaluru after taking action against the top police after the Bangalore stampede, in which eleven people lost their lives.Earlier, in the day, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with additional impact suspended Additional Director General and Police Commissioner B Dayanand along with additional effects. The decision was taken after a stampede in front of the Chinnaswamy Stadium during the RCB’s victory ceremony, where eleven people died and more than 50 were injured. He also ordered the arrest of RCB representatives, DNA event manager, event management company and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).The suspension of the top officials includes C Balakrishna, ACP, Vikash Kumar Vikash, Inspector General and Additional Commissioner of Police, West, Bengaluru city; And Shaker H. Tekknavar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bangalore City and a Girish, Police Inspector, Cuban Park Police Station.Addressing reporters after the cabinet meeting, the CM said that he instructed the DGP and IGP of the state to immediately arrest RCB, DNA event managers and representatives of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in relation to stamped insidious, as the prima facials are “imperishable” and “negligence”.
