‘Really good answer?’ Kaitlan Collins of CNN redeemed Peter Navarro for his reply on 50% India tariff

CNN anchor Catalan Collins redeemed Donald Trump’s business advisor Peter Navarro on why Navaro gave the fact that why the President chose India to impose additional tariffs as India buys Russian oil while China also does the same. Navaro gave an answer and then said that he gave “a really good answer”, but back to the studio, Colins asked former Ambassador John Bolton, Trump’s NSA 2018-2019, did Navaro give a really good answer. “China buys more Russian oil than India, and has not been targeted for it. So why are India’s tariffs?” Colins asked Navaro. “As the boss says, let’s see what happens. Keep in mind that we already have more than 50 percent tariffs on China,” Navaro said. Coalins then fought Navaro and said that China’s tariff could be more as a punishment for buying Russian oil beyond the current 50 percent tariff. “So we don’t want to go to the point where we really hurt ourselves,” Navaro said patting ourselves on his back to give a good question. “And I think I have really given a really good answer. Colins played the video and asked Bolton if Navaro’s answer was really good. “It shows that I think I can have the worst result for the United States, that India has given a very negative response, as you can expect, for these tariffs related to Russian oil purchases, in parts because they see that China has not been targeted,” Bolton said.“And Trump, in the minds of many China experts, to behave more generously than China’s treatment, thus in decades of American efforts, to bring India away from Russia, to get rid of India from China, to join the attempt to return to Chinese efforts, do it to get its long-term praise with Indian-preferences.”Bolton said, “The irony here is that when the secondary tariff against India is to hurt Russia, it can push India back to Russia, and irony is that close to China, maybe, can negotiate simultaneously, against American tariff efforts,” Bolton said.
