New Delhi: Maharashtra NCP Minister Manikarao Kokte, who accused him of playing “Rummi” on his phone in the Legislative Council, was removed from the post of State Agriculture Minister. He has been appointed as the State Sports Minister.MLA Rohit Pawar, after uploading two videos on his X handle, claimed the controversy that the minister was playing the online game during a house session.The minister rejected the allegations, saying, “I was in the upper house and wanted to know what was going on in the lower house. So, I opened my mobile, but an advertisement for an online gaming app was popped up. I tried to leave it several times, but did not. Finally, at the third attempt, it was abandoned. The MLA chose only to show the part that was suited instead of showing the full video. ,He further said that if the entire video had been shown, it would be clear that he was trying to give up the advertisement that appeared on his cellphone at that time. Kokte said that he had no comment as to why the MLA chose to post a video on social media. “He is probably entertaining himself. I can say all this. I don’t know what he wanted to do with this message by displaying the video, which does not make sense. This is a completely irrelevant video, and I am sure that the knowledgeable voters will understand that this is just a practice to discredit the government that is doing good work, “he said.
