Ukrainian President Volodmi Zelanski said on Friday that a strike on his home city of Cryvi Rig, who killed 14 people, showed that Russia did not want a ceasefire and said that every attack proves a drone that Moscow only looks for war.
Olacusandra Vilkul, head of the city’s military administration, said more than 50 people were injured in the evening attack.
In a post on X, Zelancesi said that the United States, Europe and the rest of the world have the ability to force Russia to abandon terror and war.
“A Russian missile hit an ordinary city, hitting a road in an area directly with residential buildings. Preliminary reports suggest that it was a ballistic missile strike. So far, 14 deadly has been confirmed, including six children. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
“People die every day. This is the only reason that it continues: Russia does not want a ceasefire, and we look at it. The whole world sees it. Every missile, every attack drone proves that Russia only looks for war. And only the pressure of the world on Russia, all efforts to strengthen Ukraine, and will end our forces.
A distant, unconfirmed social media footage captured the smoke bill upwards against the dark sky.
Located in the dnipropetrovsk region of the middle Ukraine, Kryvyi sits about 60 kilometers (37 mi) from the rig war lines, yet faces frequent attacks from Russian missiles and drones.
On Wednesday, the city tolerated a Russian ballistic strike, resulting in four deadly and more than a dozen people were injured.
These attacks occur when the American Trump administration wants to accelerate the conclusion of this conflict, which has lasted for three years through diplomatic discussions with both Ukrainian and Russian parties.
Russia has rejected a combined US-Uxian suggestion for a complete and unconditional termination of enmity, while Ukraine says Russia is deliberately increasing the conversation without any real intentions to prevent military operations.
