Russian Foreign Minister in the latest sign of expansion of relationships to visit North Korea this week

Seoul: © © © © The latest signal of countries’ deep relations during the Russian war in Ukraine will travel to North Korea for a three -day visit starting on Friday, stated by the state media. North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said Lavrov was invited by the country’s Foreign Ministry, but did not immediately give further details, including whether he would meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The visit to Lavarov follows the journey of June 1 by Sergei Shoigu, the top security officer of Russia, which before meeting Kim in Pyongyang, saying that thousands of military construction workers and deminers in the north had decided to send them to Russia’s Kursk area to help in reconstruction of the war -torn area. An assessment by South Korea’s detective agency states that the remittance will begin during July or August. Kim has sent large supply of thousands of fighter soldiers and military equipment to help increase Russia’s war efforts against Ukraine, including artillery and ballistic missiles. The North Korean declaration was led in Malaysia for the 10-member association meeting of the South East Asian nations as the North Korean declaration. Some South Korean analysts say Lavarov may discuss the arrangement of Kim by Russia. Lavarov last visited North Korea in June 2024, when he attended a summit with Kim in Pyongyang with President Vladimir Putin. The leaders signed a strategic partnership agreement, promising mutual assistance if either countries face aggression. Both Pyongyang and Moscow denied North Korean participation in the war in Ukraine by April, when they together admitted that North Korean troops fought with Russian forces to remove a Ukrainian avatar in the Russian chair border region. The two countries did not say how many North Korean soldiers were deployed in Russia, but South Korea, USA and Ukraine officials said North Korea had sent around 10,000 to 12,000 soldiers to Russia in last year’s fall. South Korea said North Korea deployed around 3,000 to 4,000 additional troops in Russia earlier this year. The US, South Korean and Japanese officials have expressed concern that Kim in turn may seek major technology transfer from Russia, which will potentially increase the threat created by their military nuclear program.
