SA20: Mi Cape Town to face Durban’s super veterans on 26 December; Final on 25 January | Cricket news
The fourth edition of the SA20 League is set to start with a boxing day opener between Mi Cape Town and Super Veterans of Durban at Cape Town on 26 December. The final is scheduled for 25 January, the organizers announced on Wednesday.The excitement with the first double-header of the season continues on 27 December, the next day. The Centurion will host a high-octane deer between Pretoria Capital and Jobberg Super Kings, while Parls carry Sunrisers Eastern Cape at Bolland Park in Parls Parl.Kingsmade in Durban, the domestic ground of Super Giants, will see a hurry of activity in the last week of 2024. The site will host Mi Cape Town on 28 December and Jobberg Super Kings on 30 December.The organizers said, “Fans will get an opportunity to toast style in the new year with another cracking double-header set for GQeberha and Cape Town on 31 December.”
On that day, two -time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will host Parl Royals at St. George Park, followed by Mi Cape Town against Pretoria Capital in Newlands in the evening.

Both teams will see to expand their unbeaten domestic records from last season – each won all their five matches.The league is shifted to the Highveld for a super Saturday on 3 January. Jobberg Super Kings faced Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Wanderers, while Pretoria Capital Capital Capital Capital Close the horns with super veterans of Durban.The playoff will start with qualifier 1 on January 21, followed by Eliminator on 22 January and qualifier 2 on 23 January. The final is slapped for 25 January, which has been announced for playoffs and finals.
