King Abdulziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darha) is ready to host a comprehensive academic platform “Haj and two sacred mosques: history, culture, architecture – permanent knowledge and digital documentation” In November 2025, Zumada al-Adwal to conform to 1447 h. One of the major objectives of the platform is to check how digital equipment and emerging technologies can be used to enhance conservation efforts, providing emergent educational experiences, and supporting the support of global scholars on the subject.
Paper presentations and review process
Researchers interested in contributing have been invited to present academic letters for the platform. The submission window will be open till the end of Rabi al-Way 1447h (22 September 2025). The process includes:
- One month colleague review period
- One month amendment window for authors
- The final selection of the sanctioned papers will be announced two weeks after the conclusion of the amendment phase

Parallel event: Haj Conference and Exhibition
Even in a separate initiative for November, the 5th edition of the Haj Sammelan and exhibition will be held at Jeddah Superdome from 9-12 November 2025 (18–21 Jumda al-Avwal 1447h). The annual program focused on increasing the operations and service aspects of Haj, the annual program organized under the patronage of the two sacred mosques, Salman bin Abdulziz Al Saud. Along with participants from more than 95 countries, it brings together policy makers, industry leaders and nephews to exchange knowledge and detect solutions to improve pilgrim experiences.
