South Korean President Lee J-Mung says that he will carry forward American-Japan relations, chase the conversation with North

Seoul: South Korea’s new President Lee J-Mung on Wednesday vowed to resume passive negotiations with North Korea and resume the tripartite partnership with the US and Japan, as he set major policy goals for his single, five-year tenure. Lee, who grew from childhood poverty, became the leading liberal politician of South Korea, who was ready to fight with inequality and corruption, formally started his term before Wednesday, a day later, after winning a Snap election, which was triggered in April in April by removing his sick-profit impulse of martial law late last year. In his inaugural address at the National Assembly, Lee said his government would deal with a potential North Korean aggression with “strong preventive” based on the solid South Korea-US military alliance. But he said that he would “open a communication channel with North Korea and establish peace on the Korean peninsula through dialogue and cooperation.” He said that he would pursue practical diplomacy with neighboring countries and promote tripartite Seoul-Vashington-Tocio cooperation based on a strong South Korea-US alliance. Lee said, “Through practical diplomacy based on national interests, we will turn the crisis arising out of major changes in global economic and security scenarios into an opportunity to maximize our national interests,” Lee said. It was not clear whether Lee’s election would lead to any major, immediate change in South Korea’s foreign policy. Lee, Lee has recently stressed the South Korea’s alliance with the US as the foundation of his foreign policy by critics of bending towards China and North Korea. The most difficult external challenges waiting for Lee are US President Donald Trump’s tariff policy and North Korea to move forward. But experts earlier said that whoever becomes President can not do much to secure great progress in favor of South Korea on those issues. During his inaugural speech, Lee did not directly mention business issues with America. Lee said reviving a slow domestic economy would be his top priority and his government would immediately start an emergency work force to “fight the head-on” against the dangers of recession. He also promised more aggressive government expenditure to help increase economic activity. The Central Bank of South Korea cut its major interest rate and rapidly reduced its development approach to 2025, as it went to compete with US President Donald Trump’s tariff hike and recently political turmoil. Lee’s term immediately began immediately without a normal two -month transition period after the National Election Commission confirmed his election victory. According to local TV footage, in a telephone call with the Joint Chief of Staff Chairman Kim Mayung-Su, Lee asked the army to closely monitor the North Korean tricks and maintain a concrete readiness on the basis of the United South Korea-US military alliance. Lee later visited the national cemetery in Seoul to honor the late Korean leaders, Patriots and the dead of war, who are buried there.
