Starlink Outage: US and Internet below internet; Musk says ‘Sorry, not again’

Starlinks faced a major service outage on Thursday, affecting users in the United States and many other countries. Thousands of users suddenly reported internet disruption and, in many cases, full blackout. Cities like Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Seattle and Washington, DC were among the worst hits. Users in Canada, UK, Germany, Brazil, Mexico and Philippines also faced similar problems. According to Newsweek, the outage tracker Dutter showed 3,400 reports from 3,400 reports to 3,400 pm in ET to show up to about 58,000 in ET, which started falling by 4 pm, but the issues continued. Starlink confirmed the disruption on its website, saying the team was investigating. In a post on X, the company said, “We are actively applying a solution … we appreciate your patience.”Elon Musk also replied, “The service will soon be restored. Sorry for the outage. SpaceX will measure the root cause to ensure that it does not happen again.” Outage on Reddit nonsense online. A user jokingly said, “I told someone an hour ago how reliable Starlink is … It is clearly my fault.” Another wrote, “This is around the world.” By evening, some users began to see the service return, but the complete restoration is still waiting.
