According to news agency AP, the Israeli strike has killed at least 406 people in Iran, while 14 people have been killed in Israel since Friday.The Indian Embassy in Iran first advised citizens to avoid unnecessary movement and be connected through an official telegram channel created for Indians in Iran. The embassy said in a post on X, “We request everyone to join the Telegram link to receive updates in Iran … Please note that this Telegram link is only for Indian citizens who are currently in Iran.”Additionally, several helpline numbers have been released by Indian missions in both Iran and Israel. The embassy in Israel said it is in constant touch with local authorities and monitors development.The blasts converted Tehran into bomb shelters in the form of metro stations and mosques. Civil casualties have occurred in Iran, while the major infrastructure including oil refineries and nuclear research facilities has been damaged.Mea is expected to continue advice to release the situation. Meanwhile, Indian citizens in the region have been urged to be vigilant, follow official guidance and limit external movement.
