Students miss JEE exam, claim that Visakhapatnam jam was the reason for the convoy of Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan was Visakhapatnam News

Visakhapatnam: About 20 students who missed their JEE (Main) Session 2 examination in Pendurthy on Monday alleged that traffic restrictions were sent late to the examination center due to the convoy of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
He requested the state government to intervene and request the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct a special examination for them.
The students and their parents alleged that the convoy passed through the same road at the time of examination, resulting in heavy police deployment and tight security. This regularly disrupted traffic, causing a jam, resulting in the students late at the examination center.
He said, “Despite requesting the employees at the Center that they did not entertain us our arguments. We recalled the exam for which we had worked hard for the last two years. We are made to suffer for our mistake,” he said.
However, the Vijag police denied the claims and clarified that traffic was not stopped for the deputy CM’s convoy. A police officer said, “The lowest number of absent, including late arrival, was recorded on Monday, as the second session of JEE started on April 2. The daily absent number usually occur between 60 and 80 candidates, while only 30 were absent on Monday.”
M Lakshmi Sudha, the mother of one of the aspirations, said that her son was unable to reach the examination center on time due to the disruption of traffic due to the convoy. “He was preparing for this day for two years, but a minor lapse has put his future in trouble,” he said.
Another parents explained that despite reaching just two minutes late and requesting the entry, their child was denied access. “Around 20 students, including my daughter, missed the examination due to traffic disintegration. We are requesting the government to arrange a separate examination,” he said.
‘Traffic is not blocked near the examination center’
Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shane Brata Bagchi said that as per the instructions of the admit card, candidates were required to report to the examination center between 7 am and 8:30 am, with the closure of the gates at 8:30 am. The commissioner said, “The convoy passed the junction at 8:41 am, and it is unlikely to be delayed for the students who should have arrived earlier. No traffic was blocked on BRTS Road or Service Roads near the examination center till 8:30 am to ensure free agitation for students.”
