Sudden death should be informed and post -mortem made India compulsory for hospital deaths

Bengaluru: Out-off-hospital sudden deaths will be reported, and post-mortem will be made mandatory for them in Karnataka. The Health Department took cognizance of the report of the sudden death committee by the 12-member expert panel.Toi said on Monday that medical experts were emphasizing the situation of ‘notable status’ to gain a widespread understanding of the causes of sudden deaths. He said that this mandate would be the cornerstone of strong research as post-mortem can then take place for individuals brought, and will be more specific due to death. This, in turn, will lead to effective health policies, he suggested.Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dinesh Gundu Rao addressed the media persons about the sudden death committee recommendation on Monday: “Based on these recommendations, the department has decided that a sudden death should be made a remarkable incident and reported for people under 45 years of age.An expert committee, meanwhile, is investigating the sudden death of 18 persons from Hasan between May and June. As most of these deaths occurred a week ago, the clinical body examination or talking to the family of the deceased would be the way forward for many of these cases, as experts told TOI, as it was done during the epidemic.Encouraging people to keep an inquiry on their diet and lifestyle, Rao said that the screening would be more widespread and will also be held in schools. “We will present a cardiac screening to find out the innate heart condition, when the children are still young. The screening in schools will be held for 15 -year -old children or class 10 students. Our current RBSK program will have a heart screening in the program. The contract will be tested once a year.,Rao also said, “We would recommend factories and private companies to conduct the health screening of all employees once a year so that we can prevent heart attacks and disease from developing.”Rao said that in the coming days, the defibrilateers will also be made omnipresent and placed in places where trained personnel who can use them are available. Places of these defibrillors will include bus stops, railway stations and other public places. He said that when these decisions are made at the departmental level, further decisions will be taken after consulting the Chief Minister during the action on the basis of the report.
