‘Ajit Kumar was beaten with plastic pipes and iron rods,’ lawyers offer proofs

Madurai Peeth of Madras High Court called to investigate a Soo Motu case about the death of suspected custody of temple security guard Ajit Kumar in Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu.In the proceedings, Advocate Henry Tiphgane while presenting photographic evidence suggested that Ajit Kumar was subjected to attacking with plastic pipes and iron rods. The court saw the video footage while assaulting the police personnel with Ajit Kumar.A previous petition filed by Advocate Marish Kumar in this case remains under consideration.Additionally, Advocate Henry Tiphen has submitted a petition requesting to join as a petitioner, which is also under consideration.During the proceedings, the court questioned the failure of police officers to register a case despite receiving a complaint of jewelery theft.

Five police personnel arrested in custody

Following the death of Ajit Kumar’s alleged custody, the state government has confirmed the arrest of five police officers.“In connection with the death of Ajit Kumar’s alleged custody, who died on June 28 during an investigation in Shivganga district, six police personnel were immediately suspended from duty on the same day. Based on the findings of the post -mortem, the case has now been converted into a criminal case, and five police personnel have been arrested in the case. (BNSS) Act 196 (2) (A) has been forwarded for judicial inquiry.
