Pune: Technical mess plating passport servers continued across the country on Wednesday for the second day, in which applicants in major cities expressed disappointment as the appointments continued to be canceled or delayed.
The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and other cities saw chaos as server issues, which deteriorated on Tuesday, impressing several applicants who had already prescribed appointments. A senior passport officer said, “The server problem continued to be paan-India on Wednesday. We are trying to sort the issue as soon as possible, and everything should be running smoothly soon.”
“PSK Pune-Ghorpadi office has not been operational since yesterday due to server issues. I had one appointment at 3.30 pm, but I did not get any message or email, which informs me about any cancellation. I have been waiting from 12.30 am,” an applicant, who needs to travel for immediate work. “Officers are only giving a response: ‘Refill your appointment or travel Solapur PSKThis is extremely difficult when I need to travel immediately for professional commitments. ,
Mumbai RPO acknowledged the crisis on social media, posting: “Appointments for passport applications under all PSK/popsks RPO Mumbai Today (Wednesday) is suspended till 1 pm due to server issues. The affected applicants can reinstate the appointment to another date. “Later it said that applicants would get an additional opportunity to revive if they abolished their three permissible efforts. The parents of the minor applicants are particularly affected.
Rahul Singhvi said on X: “My child missed the school due to a fixed passport appointment. It would have been really useful if we had been informed earlier.”
