The US Ambassador to Israel Mike Hakabi condemned the “Criminal and Terrorist Act” to kill a Palestinian-American at West Bank and called for a thorough investigation and full accountability after Israeli settlers.According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, north of Ramallah, a 20 -year -old American citizen of Florida, Sayflah “Saif” Musallet was killed. ABC News said that during the same incident, another person was also shot dead.The family of the Muslim said that he was trying to defend his land from Israeli settlers who surrounded him for more than three hours and stopped an ambulance from reaching him. He died before being taken to the hospital.Hukabi said in a post on X, “I have aggressively asked Israel to investigate the murder of Saif Musslet, who is an American citizen, who was beaten up when he was beaten up when he was visiting a family in Sinjil,” Hakabi said in a post on X.He said, “There should be accountability for this criminal and terrorist Act. Saif was just 20 years old,” he said.Musslets arrived at the West Bank on 4 June and were spending summer in an area known to host Palestinian migrants from North America. He was born and raised in Florida, lived in Tampa, and was the owner of a small business.His family described him as a kind, hard work and depth -respected young man known for his generosity, ambition and a strong relationship for his Palestinian heritage.His family demanded justice for his death, saying in a statement, “This is an unimaginable nightmare and injustice that should never face any family.”According to the AFP, he is the fifth American killed in the West Bank since the onset of the Israeli -Mahs war on October 7, 2023. There has been a rapid increase in violence by extremist settlers in West Bank with the ongoing Israeli aggressive in Gaza.The US government initially responded quietly to murder, but public pressure has increased. The top Democrat Hakim Jeffrees also called for action at the House of Representatives.In a statement quoting AFP, Jeffrees said in a statement, “What is happening in the Trump Administration West Bank, if it is actually committed to find a equitable and permanent peace between Israel and Palestinian people, the Trump administration can continue a blind eye.”Former Arkansus governor and a long -time supporter of Israeli settlements, Hukbi has previously rejected the notion that Israel captures the West Bank, referring to the area in the name of its Bible, “Judea and Samaria.”
