The anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpey’s death: PM Modi paid tribute; India news calls his service a guiding force for a self -sufficient India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday recalled former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the anniversary of his death. In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Recalling Atal ji on his virtuous tart. His dedication and service to India’s all -round progress inspires everyone in the creation of a developed and self -sufficient India., The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the former PM at the memorial of ‘Sadava Atal’ Vajpayee in Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, JD (U) MP Sanjay Jha, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were also present.Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of the highest leaders of Indian politics and the founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), died on 16 August 2018 in AIIMS, Delhi on 16 August 2018. He was 93 years old. Vajpayee worked three times as the Prime Minister of the country – first for a short -term in 1996, and later for two full terms between 1998 and 2004. His birthday, 25 December, is seen as Good Governance Day. In 2015, he was honored with Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor.
