New Delhi: There was an encounter between security forces and militants in Tangmarg region of Kulgam district of South Kashmir, local media reported.
An official said that after receiving specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, security forces closed Tangmarg.
The encounter comes a day after 28 people, mainly tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in the Besaran Valley area of ​​Pahgam, located in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The 26 dead included two foreign and two locals, a high ranking officer said without details.
