The Home Ministry on Tuesday said the LS said that amid questions raised by opposition parties against the list of documents accepted by the EC under the head of the election role in Bihar, LS told LS that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act makes every citizen mandatory for the government to issue a national identity card. In response to a question by MP Mala Roy, Mos (Ghar), Bandi Sanjay Kumar cited the Citizenship Act, 1955 as amendment in 2004, which “provides the Central Government to register every citizen of India and issues a national identity card.
