New Delhi: Chief selector Ajit Agkar admitted that legends like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin are never easy in the Indian testing side, it is called a major transition phase for the team. The last time India played a Test match without the three -Rohit, Kohli and Ashwin, which was during the 2011 tour of England.Agarkar addressed the importance of the moment by announcing Shubman Gill as India’s new Test captain for the upcoming five -match series in England. Rishabh Pant has been named the vice-captain.“When people like that retirement, always to fill big holes. Ashwin also retired. They have always been stalwarts. It is always difficult. Specially reflecting Kohli’s retirement, Agkar said:“Virat arrived out in early April, saw him that he was giving 200% on every ball, when he was not on batting or field. Felt that he would give everything, if he could not even keep the standards then it was time for him. This has come from him. It has to be respected. He has earned that honor. ,Agarkar also talked about moving forward with a new approach in the New World Test Championship Bicycle:He said, “This is a new WTC cycle, you are looking at the whole scenarios. We only need to show them respect and move forward. It is a big job and big transition. We are all convinced that Gill is a person to take us forward.
