The issue of Delhi stray dogs: CJI SC refers to the 3-judge bench; Listen tomorrow | Bharat News

New Delhi: The Supreme Court’s Suo Motu Case on the Strey Dog Issue, in which a two-judge bench on Monday, August 11 directed that stray dogs should be shifted to shelters in Delhi-NCR, sent to a bench of three judges. The case will be heard tomorrow by a bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria.

Earlier in the day, India’s Chief Justice BR Gavai said that he would investigate the ongoing issue related to community dogs, a lawyer after mentioning the case that separate benches of the Supreme Court have issued conflicting directions.The case related to stray dogs was mentioned before a bench led by CJI for immediate listing, in which CJI said, “I will look into it.”

Advocate Nanita Sharma said that two benches of the apex court have passed separate orders on the issue of stray dogs.On August 11, a bench of Justice Pardwala and R Mahadevan took a rigorous view of the danger of the stray dog and ordered Delhi-NCR to remove stray dogs from all areas within eight weeks and ordered them to be established by civic authorities in dedicated dog shelters dedicated.
