New Delhi: A 15 -year -old girl, who was cruelly set on fire by miscreants in Balga in Puri district of Odisha on June 19, succumbed to her injuries despite significant care.The girl, who maintains more than 75% of burn injuries, was initially admitted to AIMS Bhubaneswar and later airlifted to AIIMS New Delhi. He received at 4:20 pm and was placed in the burn ICU of Burns and Plastic Surgery Block, where doctors said that his condition is important and required frequent oxygen support.In a statement, AIIMS Delhi confirmed that it was in a close eye of a team of experts, but could not be revived.Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi posted on X, saying, “I am surprised to listen to this news … Despite all the efforts of the government and despite the round-the-clock efforts of the expert medical team in AIIMS Delhi, their lives could not be saved …”

The incident occurred when the girl was in the way of a relative’s house. He was reportedly abducted, moved to a separate place on the banks of the Bhagabi River, and set the ablass after being immersed in an inflammatory substance. The locals fled to help him and informed the authorities.Police officers are still investigating and searching for the attackers. The Odisha government had earlier announced that it would bear the cost of its treatment.The case comes closely on the heels of another tragic incident in Balasore, where a 20 -year -old college student died after accusing a faculty member of a faculty of sexual harassment, leading to a nationwide protest.
