Thiruvananthapuram: Royal Navy F -35 fighter jet is stranded at Thiruvananthapuram Airport as its aircraft carriers have failed to repair hydraulic snags. A team of engineers is staying at the airport and continuing repair operations.Jet is a step to move to the hangar as it may have to stay here for a long time until a team from UK and America can investigate it. Sources said that various teams of technicians keep checking the aircraft, but are not able to fix the snag. An airport official said that the aircraft has been parked at Bay 4. “We have enough section to handle commercial aircraft. The presence of fighter jet is not an issue.”This is the first time when built in the US, fighter jets are stranded in a foreign country.
