New Delhi: Gurugram police on Friday dismissed speculation around the murder of national level tennis player Radhika Yadav, saying that his father Deepak Yadav killed him completely about running a tennis academy.Gurugram police supporter Sandeep Kumar told news agency ANI, “Every other reason is a rumor other than the tennis academy and no such thing has come forward during the investigation.” “The whole issue was that the girl ran a tennis academy. The accused had many assets and would earn a lot through rent. She is financially well closed.”25 -year -old Radhika was found dead in a private hospital after being brought to a private hospital. Police said his father, 49 -year -old Deepak Yadav, fired three rounds from a licensed revolver at his residence in Sushant folk region of Gurugram.“On receiving the information, the police reached the hospital and found that it was a 25 -year -old girl named Radhika, who was a resident of Sector 57. The police later reached her home and revealed that she was a tennis player and had a tennis academy,” said Kumar.According to the police, Deepak was upset that his daughter continued to run the academy despite his frequent objections. He allegedly admitted that there is no financial need to do their work, given the considerable income of the family from rental properties. Kumar said, “He said that he was financially well away, so his daughter does not need to run the academy.” “They had constant arguments about this.”The police have rejected other objectives, including speculation related to a music video, portrayed by Radhika. “This is just a rumor … He accepted to fulfill the whole incident and the reason he has given behind the murder is that he was angry about the academy’s running and he committed the crime due to this anger,” Kumar said.Since 2004, a weapon used by a licensed pistol owned by the accused has been confiscated. Deepak Yadav was arrested from the spot and produced in court on Friday. The court sent him to police custody for a day. Officials are now working to recover the remaining ammunition, with a plan of discovery on their property in Kasam village near Rewari.Police confirmed that Radhika’s mother, Manju Yadav, was present on the first floor of the house while shooting. Investigators have said the case being in their initial stage, but say that all evidence so far indicates the academy dispute as the only purpose.
