There is no sign of retirement from MS Dhoni to CSK

Chennai: If MS Dhoni’s fans were preparing to say goodbye to legend in the last two Chennai Super Kings Sports, their plans can wait for time. The inner formulas of the franchise strongly believe that the road will not end for 2025 43 years old. CSK has worked badly this season and has made a lot of external noise about Dhoni’s utility in the team, but the man himself has no indication to the franchise owners that this is his last season. Dhoni has said that he takes a decision after a few months, but the feeling is that there are lots of loose ends to deal in the team for MSD to go to this level. There is a young core that needs to settle and the team needs to come close to 2023, when he became the champion for the fifth time. In that kind of position, the presence of MSD is important as a keeper, late batsman and a guiding light.

The fact is that Dhoni’s body has conducted better for the last few years, also, there should be a point to consider. Dhoni, however, is unlikely to continue as a captain and Ruturaj Gikwad is likely to pass when he returns from the elbow injury. Although the team has not done well under Gikwad in one and a half sessions, it may be a little early to remove it.
