‘They are my children too’: Dhaka teacher died to save students after fighter jet hit school; Saw as hero

In a heroic act during Bangladesh fighter jet crash, 46 -year -old school teacher Maherin Chaudhary lost his life after protecting several students from a fierce fire. The F -7 BGI aircraft, on a regular training mission, crashed in the Milestone School and College campus in Dhaka on Monday, lost more than 30 people, most of them, children, and more than 170 others, which is one of the most deadly aviation accidents in Bangladesh’s recent history.As soon as the flames provoked the building, Maherin ran a back in a burning orbit to save the trapped students, even his own clothes caught fire. “When her husband called her, she pleaded with her to leave the scene and think about her children, she said ‘they are my children too, they are burning. How can I leave them?”An English teacher, Maherin, later hunted serious burning injuries that day. She is saved from her husband and two teenage sons.The army confirmed that the accident occurred due to a mechanical failure. The pilot, which tried to remove the aircraft from populated areas, was also one of the dead.Munaf said, “I don’t know how much he saved, but it could be at least 20. He took them out of his hands.”“When the plane crashed and caught fire, everyone was running to save his life, he ran to save others,” said Khadija Acter, Headmistress of the primary section of the school.Maherin was placed on Tuesday to rest in his hometown Nilfamari in Northern Bangladesh.
