New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a strong warning to the Naxalites on Sunday, saying that the central government will continue to operate against Naxalism during the monsoon season.“Every time during the rainy season, the Naxalites were relaxed (as swollen rivers hindered soft anti -operation inside the dense forest), but this time, we will not let them sleep during the monsoon and we will proceed to pursue 31/3 (to end the target of 2026).”He further called for the Naxalites to keep weapons and “join the journey of development”.“Put arms and join the journey of development; no need for dialogue. Just give up armed struggle and join the mainstream, “he said.He said, “I heartily welcome all those who have put their arms down and have joined the mainstream and have assured them that whatever promise Chhattisgarh has promised them will be fulfilled, and we will try to help you even more.”Shah was in Shah Nawapur Atal Nagar, Chhattisgarh to lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) campus and a central forensic science laboratory.Shah has claimed that Naxalism will be excluded from the country by March 2026.
