Third month of Aircraft Ban: Pakistan expands airspace ban on Indian aircraft by 23 July. Bharat News

New Delhi: Pakistan on Monday extended its airspace ban on Indian aircraft for another month, citing the ongoing tension between the two countries after the Pahgam terror attack and later military operations.Originally imposed on 23 April was first expanded on 23 May when India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May. Indian military action targeted and allegedly destroyed several terrorist camps in the Pakistan-prasad region, which triggered a four-day intensive cross-border struggle on May 10 with a circle.A recent notice to the Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airport Authority now expands the ban from 23 June to 23 July. The notice stated, “Pakistan aircraft is not available for Indian registered aircraft and aircraft/is on/owned or leased by Indian airlines/operators including military flights.”The situation is stressful despite the end of direct enmity. Diplomatic channels have not yet achieved any success in repairing fragmented bilateral relations. Indian and Pakistani authorities have not resumed formal dialogues since the flare. The initial ban followed the Pahalgam terrorist attack, killing at least 26 people, which deepened mistrust on both sides and increased military vigilance on both sides.
